"Dr. Constantin Opriș" County Emergency Hospital

The "Dr. Constantin Opriş" Baia Mare County Emergency Hospital was inaugurated in 1972 and was the most equipped hospital, after Bucharest, with the most modern medical equipment for its era. Today, it is the most complex healthcare unit in Maramureș County, providing specialized medical care for over 100,000 residents of Baia Mare, and over 500,000 residents of the county. The hospital has 920 continuous hospitalization beds and 70 day care beds. Within its structure, there are specialized departments, such as: gastroenterology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, toxicology, burns, pediatric neuropsychiatry, thoracic surgery. The mission of the "Dr. Constantin Opriș" County Emergency Hospital is to provide quality medical services in a pleasant and safe environment to the population of Maramureș County and the surrounding areas.
