“Milan Rakić” Primary School

The floor which we found in “Milan Rakić” Primary School was broadloom carpets installed a decade and a half ago (in 2000), over the vinyl installed in 1991. The school itself is located on the ground full of underground waters (near the spring of Vrujci), which sometimes even get into the classroom over the school yard. What's more, in the spring last year the school was damaged in the floods. After analyzing the state and the situation, it was clear that it would not be enough just to install a new floor.

Laying a new floor meant a lot of preparation and in order for the new floor to fulfill its role, the old floor covering was removed and additional protection was installed. Only then the linoleum from Veneto XF²™ (2.5 MM) collection was laid. The flooring solution was selected by the pupils and their teacher: the “Burgundy” marble design in various shades of burgundy and two more shades from the same collection. “Hopscotch” and additional patterns could also be found on the floor, which contributed to even more creative atmosphere.
