Tarkett, a global leader in innovative and sustainable solutions for flooring and sports surfaces, today announced that it has been rated A Level by CDP. Tarkett has achieved the highest level of maturity a company can reach according to the CDP.
The company is in the top 2% of the 24,800 companies CDP assesses based on climate change data. CDP is a global non-profit organization that operates the leading carbon reporting platform and is considered the gold standard in assessing corporate climate strategy.
"Achieving Level A, the CDP's highest level, is a great recognition of our long-standing leadership and continued progress in our climate ambitions," explains Arnaud Marquis, director of sustainability and safety at Tarkett. "This also confirms our ability to reduce climate impact throughout our value chain." We have set an ambitious strategy for 2030, which has already brought significant results. Over the past years, we have challenged ourselves to provide more sustainable solutions for our customers. We revised our management system to place sustainability at the highest level of the organization and changed our decision-making processes to develop green products and increase the share of recycled materials in our products."
In early 2023, Tarkett's climate strategy was endorsed by the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative. Since the same year, the company has been included in the annual ranking of European leaders of positive action in the field of climate change published by the Financial Times and Statista. In September 2024, Tarkett received the Platinum Medal on the sustainability rating platform EcoVadis, setting a new standard in the flooring and sports surface industry.
